The film library
Since the beginning of the history of the company, our mission has been to research and collect historical film shots. This has resulted in the creation of the largest independent private archive in Germany and one of the largest worldwide. The film material has been purchased and swapped worldwide. The renowned Chronos Collection, the Axelbank Collection and the Fischer Archive have become part of our archival inventory, in addition to smaller private collections.
Millions of metres of film material covering the period from 1900 until the nineties encompass film shorts of major political events in Central Europe as well as cultural and sports highlights, thus creating a scintillating picture of living history.
In the course of the year 2008, the FIAS video archival system will allow you to research, view and select pictorial material online.
